Do not give up on meat, just red meat. Substitute your pork chops and beef steak with a turkey sandwich or chicken sausages. White meat does not only help you drastically lower the amount of calories and fat you take in but also tastes great. Stop drinking whole milk. You may crave the cream for a while but remember that’s just plain fat. Skimmed milk is a far better and healthier option. Of course you can also make a slower transition by going first for the low fat variety and then for the non-fat skimmed. People who have given up on whole milk, now swear by skimmed milk. Once you realize the fat content in almost every food you consume, skimmed milk will come as a refreshing change giving you the true value of milk without the guilt.
Switch to fresh juices. Most of us are regular consumers of sodas and fizzy drinks. What we don’t realise is how many useless and sometimes even harmful calories we are guzzling down without getting any benefit from them. It’s just plain sugar.
