Beating Hair Loss One Step at a Time

Email To a Friend Hi, my name is Mike and I was diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia two and a half years ago. When I was first treated with Propecia, I was quite disappointed after the first year because I didn’t see any results. Not to mention, my girlfriend wasn’t happy with me because I have lost my appetite for sex.

I considered myself fairly young to be experiencing hair loss at such a magnitude to where I need to be professionally treated for it. I never considered the over the counter products because I was under the assumption that they were just gimmicks. I used take a lot of pride in my hair and spent 15 minutes styling my hair before leaving for school. I was praised in school for my thick, full, and impeccably styled hair. I don’t know if it was all of the products that did this to me or if it was just fate.

I just turned 30 years old and I started balding at 25 years old. I complained to my doctor that these pills weren’t helping me and now I would have to find another medication to help me with my newly acquired health issue. He asked if I had tried Rogaine, Minoxidil or Nizoral Shampoo.

I questioned the need for so many additional add-ons to my original treatment and he assured me that if I combined treatments, then I would have better results. With few options left, I followed his instructions and tried Minoxidil, believing that I had nothing more to lose.

How silly I had been to dismiss over-the-counter treatments. I saw very quick results once I had tried this therapy I recommend it to anyone that has the same problem with hair loss. Within the first two weeks I began to see hairs sprout from the top of my head like blades of fresh grass in the spring. I am no longer insecure about my lack of hair and I am satisfied that after the wait, I finally saw positive results.

We are now working together to slowly phase out the Propecia so that I can revamp my sex life. Patience is certainly a virtue and I have learned to take things one step at a time.
