Liposuction Worked for Me

Email To a Friend 27 June 2009 There was a point in my life when I was overweight and had all sorts of heath issues because of it. Wanting to live a longer and healthier life soon became an obsession of mine. I was very successful once I put my mind to it. I started off by dieting and went from 300 pounds to 275 in six months. I then added light cardio and high rep/ low weight exercises to my routine.

After a year, I had lost 100 pounds and found myself setting a new goal. I joined a local gym and was convinced that I should compete in some local bodybuilding competitions.

With the help of the trainers at the gym, I was lifting, pumping and training like a warrior and I loved every minute of it. I became raw, lean muscle and was only a couple of months away from being able to compete in the statewide body building competition. As I continued with my training, I began to notice that I wasn’t able to get rid of my love handles and fatty pouch that was covering my lower stomach area.

No matter how many crunches I did or supplements I took, this accumulation of fat and skin wouldn’t go away. I had come so far from the 300 pound fatty that I was and didn’t want give up on the ability to compete in the competition that I had worked so hard for.

Unfortunately, I missed the deadline for that year’s competition but I didn’t give up on my goals of competing. I was determined to make the following year’s competitions. As weird as it sounds, I started looking into cosmetic surgery because I had taken thermogenic supplements, and had been training for a complete year and couldn’t get rid of this paunchy midsection of mine.

I ended up getting liposuction to remove the fat from my waist and tighten the saggy skin from my massive weight loss. Although the process was arduous, I am pleased with the results. I recovered successfully and I’m now approaching my second competition. Last year I came in fourth place and this year I intend to come in first.

Previously, I would have never have considered liposuction as a procedure that men would get, however, I found that it was exactly what I needed to complete my transformation and would absolutely do it again.
