The Diary - September 2007
Maybe it’s just us at Miracles for Men, but September is really an exciting month for us here. It seems that we wait for this part of the year and it never disappoints.
Most of us start the year with the conviction that we shall achieve better health by year’s end and have to go through hours, days and months of disciplined training. It is around this time of year that we start seeing the results of what we have been doing.
How fitting it is then that the major event in the month of September is the Mr. Olympia championships.
The competition was one to behold. Our Miracles for Men team could not stop staring in awe at the physiques on display. In the end, it was Jay Cutler who managed to beat Victor Martinez by just 4 points to claim the title of Mr. Olympia in 2007.
As for us, we went back to the gym as we knew we had a lot of work to do.
Rugby World Cup 2007 – September 7th to October 20th
At Miracles for Men we pride ourselves at having fans of different sports. While some of us were busy enjoying ourselves in the Mr. Olympia contest, others were at the Rugby Union World Cup in France.
We love the preliminary matches as we are then able to guess and bet on which of the teams are the best in the tournament. So far, it seems South Africa and New Zealand are pretty good.
Berlin Marathon – September 30th 2007
At Miracles for Men we love great athletes and few come larger than Haile Gebrselassie. Last year he had won his maiden marathon race in Berlin and we decided to take the day off and see what he could do this year.
He did not disappoint. On 30th September, he again shocked the world by breaking the world marathon record.
As you can see the month of September has been great for us and we hope October brings the same.
Kindest Regards
The Miracles For Men Team
