The Diary - September 2008
September for Miracles for Men is Mr. & Ms. Olympia month. Mr. Olympia has grown from its humble beginnings in 1965 when the legendary Larry Scott first won it to become what is now known as the "Greatest Muscle Show on Earth".
Miracles for Men followed its long tradition of being associated with the Mr. and Ms. Olympia contest and it did not disappoint.
This year the competition was held on September 27th, in Las Vegas, Nevada and ended up being one of the closest contests that Miracles for Men has ever witnessed.
Dexter Johnson managed to pip two time champion, Jay Cutler, for the title of Mr. Olympia as Iris Kyle became Ms Olympia
It was a great show and Miracles for Men will definitely be there next year to give you the latest news from the event.
Before heading for the Mr. Olympia championship, we managed to sneak into the Mercedes Benz Arena in Germany to witness the IAAF World Athletics finals.
Coming right after the Olympics, it was great to see that Asafa Powell had not lost any of his speed and the new female phenomenon in Pamela Jelimo, was still faster than the rest of us humans.
September is a great sporting month for us at Miracles for Men and it was with sadness that we missed the Berlin Marathon to see the great Haile Gebrselassie from Ethiopia break his own world record which we had witnessed the previous year.
Next year, we are planning on being in Berlin and who knows, he might just break his own record again.
