Vanadyle Sulfate

What is Vanadyle Sulfate?

Vanadyl Sulfate is the most popular and common form of vanadium, an ultra-trace mineral which works like insulin to increase the amount of glucose and amino acids driven into the muscle.

Vanadyl sulfate has been tested with diabetic animals and shown to normalize their high blood glucose levels. After continued high dosages there were no toxic side effects, including damage to the liver and kidneys.

Vanadyl Sulfate has been shown to improve the efficiency of insulin action, thereby allowing for increased protein synthesis and the use of body fat stores for fuel. Vanadyl sulfate supports weight loss by promoting glucose control. Vanadyl sulfate helps in supporting blood sugar, reducing hunger pangs, and promoting higher energy levels.

Vanadyl sulfate is a safe and effective means of increasing stores of muscle glycogen, with a long history of safe results for diabetics and bodybuilders

It is found in foods such as black pepper, dill seed, radishes, eggs, shellfish, mushrooms, vegetable oils, buckwheat, and oats. For people who are unable to get enough vanadium in their regular diet or who have a need for more vanadium, supplements may be necessary.

Side Effects and Warnings of Vanadyle Sulfate

Being a form of Vanadium, Vanadyle Sulfate may have the same side effects on some people. Information about vanadium toxicity is limited. Workers exposed to vanadium dust can develop toxic effects.

High blood levels have been linked to manic-depressive mental disorders, but the meaning of this remains uncertain. Vanadyle Sulfate sometimes inhibits, but at other times stimulates, cancer growth in animals.

You should always consult your doctor before using Vanadium as a dietary supplement.
